As a Christian, I denounce the actions of anyone who would "make up" conversion stories, as if that really helps the cause. The same thing was attempted with Darwin. It's almost as if those "Christians" don't believe in what they profess, that they have to go "recruit" these other people, thinking that lends credence to their belief. I personally find it hypocritical, and really, a deviation from the teachings of Christianity.

1) They're exclusivist (Christianity teaches only Christianity is true).
The second biggest complaint:
2) They're hypocritical (People who call themselves Christians act in a way contrary to their professed beliefs).
Sadly, some who wish to avoid falling into 1) only end up in 2). I say either be a Christian or don't. But of course, that's only an argument against the people of Christianity, not the teachings themselves.

If religion is both a) unsupported by evidence and b) does not lead to exclusively ethical behaviour, it is not worth bothering with.
The religious are too eager to lie in order to impose their fairy tales on the rest of us.
