F Rosa Rubicondior: Mad Manny Gets Another Warning

Mad Manny Gets Another Warning

It's not often that I have something positive to say about the people at Twitter Support these days, as it was beginning to look like they had given up even pretending to be taking abuse and harassment seriously and seemed to be selecting random responses to complaints or ignoring them altogether.

But I see they've at last taken notice of all the complaints they've been getting about the behaviour of Manuel de Dios Agosto, the expelled seminarian and notorious Internet stalker and abusive blogger. Manuel is currently using his @CatholicGadfly, @SCDTVS, @SacerdotusRadio and @StudiousAtheist accounts to abuse, defame and denigrate anyone who responds to his phoney piety and infantile challenges to debate (usually first made in secret without informing the victim so he can claim victory by default).

Building on the experience I had with Twitter Support concerning another unrelated abusive account which routinely posted the same scheduled abuse several times a week and which I had occasionally reported only to get a seemingly random reply including one informing me that the account had been deleted by the owner when it hadn't been, that it had been suspended when it hadn't been, that it wasn't abusive when it clearly was, and finally, that it had been suspended when it actually had been (and still is), I had been similarly reporting Manuel's routine abuse from time to time.

It was no surprise then that I received another ludicrous routine response informing me that they had investigated his @CatholicGadfly account (yet again!) and found it wasn't currently in breach of their policies on abuse and harassment:

Yawn!

So, feeling a little mischievous I replied to this (normally replies are ignored) with:

Would it be possible for this serial abuser to post anything at all which you deem as contravening your rules? It would appear that no amount of abuse and harassment on his part contravenes your policy against posting abuse and harassing people.

Surprise, surprise!

I actually got a two replies three minutes apart!

And blow me down if they didn't do it again a few hours later in response to another complaint. Their initial response had been the usual routine one, probably selected from a drop-down list by some bored operative with a pile of complaints to process:

Hello,

We understand that you might come across content on Twitter that you dislike or you find offensive. However, Twitter is a global platform that lets us participate in broader conversations and connect with people from many corners of the world. Just like when we are interacting in a public space we may overhear conversations that are offensive, coming across inflammatory content on Twitter can be frustrating.

We've reviewed the content and while you may find it offensive, it is not in violation of our rules, so we will not be removing it from the platform. You can learn more about how to deal with abusive users here: https://support.twitter.com/articles/15794

If someone feels personally threatened, or if you believe the content you are reporting is prohibited in your local jurisdiction, please contact your local authorities with the information you provided to us. You can point local law enforcement to our Law Enforcement Guidelines here: https://support.twitter.com/articles/41949.

Thanks,

That one had provoked the following reply from me:

I expect you not to be able to reply but could you please explain in simple, easy to understand words, how constantly posting abuse and lies about a named individual does not contravene your policy that members should not post abuse and harass people and should not use Twitter to harass and abuse people please?

Simple people like me might not be able to understand this without such an explanation.

Their reply is not only unexpected but interesting. It seems they DO read replies and even revise their response:

And I see that Manuel's @CatholicGadfly account was off line for two days, presumably while he was grovelling to Twitter and promising yet again not to abuse and harass people and acknowledging that he isn't above the rules he agrees to abide by when he set his account up. Knowing Manuel, this won't last and he'll almost certainly be setting up a new account to continue where 'Jeff T.Follown MD' (as he sometimes misspells it) left off and 'adjunct professor' Jeff T.Follon MD' will disappear as abruptly as he appeared without trace last July. One name to watch for is 'Jeremy Blatcher' who has already started posting Manuel-like abuse on my blogs exposing Manny as a fraud.

Since Manuel has now been officially warned about his abusive behaviour, can you let me know when he starts up again, or if and when 'Jeremy Blatcher' gets going, please?

If you ever have cause to complain about Manuel's abuse in future, and if you disagree with him you will do, it might be worth quoting the reference Case# 08694399 to help those nice people at Twitter Support.

[Update 20 December 2014]
Manuel never fails to live down to his promise. He has been hysterically denying his various accounts are his despite the irrefutable evidence that they are and even denying that he's himself, then he takes yet another hilarious pratfall by forgetting who he's pretending to be and posts this hilarious tweet, denying the evidence that Twitter has issued him with yet another warning and had suspended his account pending his acknowledgement that the rules apply even to him and a promise to behave in future - a promise he broke within hours as expected.

The idiot refers to Manny/Manuel in the first person; 'I never got any warning...' while posting with his 'Jeff T. Follon MA.' (@CatholicGadfly) account. And his edited email doesn't even relate to anything I said above, nor does it say he was never warned, as he claims. Does Manny have genuine reading and comprehension difficulties to add to his problem with basic joined-up thinking, or is he showing his usual contempt for his followers by assuming they have?

Just in case you thought Manuel de Dios Agosto might be insane enough to believe his own lies, he makes it clear here that he just has a psychopathic personality disorder and the intellect of a retard. And the late poor old Archbishop Garmendia in his dotage actually allowed him to smarm his way into seminary. No wonder the Catholic Church is embroiled in so many scandals and is still desperately trying to cover them up or disavow any responsibility for them.

Enjoy this tweet it while it lasts. He won't be around for long in this persona. A new Mad Manny Twitter account coming soon. Kudos to whoever spots it first.

[Update 21 December 2014]
The idiot has now panicked again and tried to cover his tracks by inserting an underscore in his username @Catholic_Gadfly, presumably thinking Twitter will assume he's deleted his account. However, as you can see, Twitter still finds his old lies and abuse. Try this one. Click on this link - https://twitter.com/CatholicGadfly/status/544202917839138816 and watch the URL in your browser. See Twitter insert the underscore? Neat, eh? It's a similar trick he tried when he changed his original @SCDTVS account to his @CatholicGadfly one, thinking no-one would notice. The laugh is that he knows that's how we know he's Manuel de Dios Agosto/Sacerdotus but hasn't managed to join the dots yet.

And a little birdie tells me that Manny has already set up a new Twitter account under the username @Catholicgadfly but made it private so only chosen followers can read his lies and abuse. They would be the ones who don't mind Manuel insulting their intelligence, presumably.

Of course, I've emailed Tritter Support just to make them aware of his attempted deception so they can see how trustworthy his promises and assurances to behave in future are.

Keep watching for 'Jeremy Blacher' by the way. It'll be Manny.

[Update 24 December 2014]
One down.

Manny's @StudiousAtheist account has now been permanently suspended and Twitter Support have asked me for examples of post-warning abuse from @Catholic_Gadfly - provided.

Manny will now have to spend Xmas creating new Twitter accounts, complete with blogs, so he can continue his hobby of abusing strangers from the anonymous safety of his mother's apartment in the Bronx, to help him feel better about himself and his expulsion from seminary ten years ago.

I wonder what happened to the money people sent him and which he claimed were tax-deductible donations to charity or to help pay for his 'ministry'. Would anyone who sent him money believing it was for this purpose please contact me with details. I believe others may have already contacted the IRS about this matter. Also, if Manuel makes any more references to Oxfam in connection with donations to them please let me know so I can keep Oxfam's legal team informed.

Further: Also suspended today were @SCDTVS, @Catholicgadfly (the account Manny created to confuse Twitter when he inserted the underscore into his @Catholic_Gadfly account soon after being warned, presumably thinking he would be able to get away with continuing his abuse) and @SacerdotusRadio. So, that just leaves @Catholic_Gadfly and @RationalFaith1 to go - unless you know of any more...

[Update 29 December 2014]
I just had to share this gem from Manny because it shows so well the level of his intellect, before it goes the way of all his other abusive accounts at which point, only the text will remain to remind of just how stupid Manuel is. It reminds me of a cartoon character and early UK children's TV character from the late 1950 - Billy Bunter - a greedy and stupid schoolboy who we would now see as suffering from Dunning-Kruger Syndrome like Manny and so constantly over-estimated his own intellectual abilities whilst consistently under-estimating that of his classmates, in other words, being too stupid to realise just how stupid he is. For example, he would steal cakes from someone's lunch box then when confronted would say things like, "Cripes! I never stole your cakes from the box you hid in your desk, and anyway they didn't taste very nice!" It's where we get the word 'Bunteresque' from.

Enjoy Manny's Buntereque gaff:

Er... what report number doesn't match, Manny? And doesn't match with what? The reply from Twitter that I posted or the warning you say you never got from Twitter?

LOL! Priceless!

Either way, Manuel, this piece of post-warning personal abuse has gone to Twitter with several other examples and the reminder that, soon after you agreed not to post anymore abuse, you inserted an underscore in your username, created a new account with your old username, and carried on the abuse as normal, hoping to confuse Twitter Support staff. I hope the staff at Twitter Support have had a nice refreshing break and will be back at work protecting people from abuse soon. Time for some new accounts Manny. The problem for you is that as soon as you start praising yourself, boasting about your academic prowess whilst demonstrating your lack of any and posting lies and abuse about anyone who calls you out, we'll spot you.

Sod's Law, eh?

And Manuel still doesn't get that we're using him by putting him on public display because he does so much more harm to Catholicism in particular and religion in general that we ever could by his idiotic display of intellectual and moral bankruptcy which he feebly tries to disguise as sanctimonious piety, just like so many other abusive Catholics who slipped through the net which fortunately caught Manuel de Dios Agosto in time.

[Update 5] And he's gone.

Yet another of Manuel's abusive Twitter accounts gets taken down by Twitter Support because of his obsessive attention-seeking and harassment. I wonder if he'll finally twig that changing his username and creating a new account with the old name then deleting it really doesn't delete the history of his original abuse or any warning recorded against it. I wonder what he'll do for money now he can't tweet links to his beggar blogs and scams.

  1. Reminds me of what you can read in this link from Twitter: https://twitter.com/danarel/status/538422962626764800/photo/1 . In that Twitter flow we can see that Manny invites to a debate with him at 2:30 a.m. Who of us are not longing for having a debate with him just in the middle of the night? Manny couldn't have suggested/chosen a better time - or could he?

    1. That's his MO. I once woke up to fid Manny had challenged me at about 3 a.m. GMT. Spammed me with abuse every couple of minutes claiming I was too cowardly to debate him, and declared victory, all in about twenty minutes. He ran screaming hysterically when I accepted his challenge as can be seen here. He hasn't recovered yet poor thing.

  2. Why haven't you debated him on Google hangouts where there is no moderation or opportunity to alter anything? That would be fun to watch on YouTube. He seems to be taking your posts as promotion for himself. Apparently your posts and the posts of others are bringing him blog hits. He posted this recently: Atheists Help Sacerdotus

Also, Twitter's support is run by algorithms. So in effect, anyone can get suspended with persistence. This doesn't mean that accounts all originate from one person or that an account is necessarily breaking TOS. One can report 5 different accounts stating each belong to one individual and if you persist in the reporting, they all will be suspended. Religious people can easily target atheists and mass suspend them. This is a problem Twitter has and is why Instagram is beating it in membership. Cheers!

    1. Manny has proved himself incapable of rational, logical debate above the level of an eight year-old but if ever he feels grown up enough to try my challenge to him is still there at Debate: Is There Scientific Evidence Only For The Christian God? All he need do is present what he claims is his evidence and explain why it meets the criteria for his claimed proof that the Christian god exists and no others do. Those criteria are given in the above link.

He won't of course because, by his behavior, we can see he no more believes the Christian god is watching him and will be taking him to task later that I do. He's a fraud using pretend piety as a cover just as he would have done had he not been caught and expelled from seminary before he could emulate so many other abusive Catholic priests and abuse his trusted access to vulnerable people.
