The competition between Trumpanzee Talibangeslists to see who can make the most ludicrously exaggerated prediction is hotting up. They even held a convention, or "Global Summit" of American fundamentalists at Harvest International Ministry, a church in Pasadena, California, last week end, in which they could out-loon one another. It's hard to tell which fruitloop came out a clear winner but amongst the front-runners was loopy right-wing evangelist, Mario Murillo, of Mano Murillo Ministries, another self-appointed 'prophet' who claims to see and hear God. At the 'Global Summit' he told the credulous audience just what they wanted to hear. He informed them that God is about to destroy the Democratic Party to save America, with:
I felt the fierceness, the rage, and the absolute spirit of God Almighty. I fear for the Democrat Party tonight because you ain’t messing with me anymore, you’re not even messing with the people in this room, and you’re not messing with these pastors—I saw God get up off of his throne, roll up his sleeves, and tell America, ‘I’m coming. I’m coming!'
I’m going to tell you that this is not all good news. God said, ‘Whatever I have to do to save America, I will do it. If it means natural disaster, I’ll do it. If it means destroying her economy and her global prestige, I will do it. If it means that I need to do some things where preachers start dying in the pulpit like Ananias and Sapphira, if the moguls and the billionaires like Bill Gates suddenly have their jets go missing, [I will do it].’ The hand of God can come on America like a hurricane, like a storm, like fire, and that fire can come with such force that our entire standard of living could be altered overnight.
God is not about drag queens reading to our children. God is not about your 6-year-old, because of social media, thinking she’s a boy. This gender-bending, this perversion, this Coca-Cola, American Airlines, Delta Airlines, all of you that are sitting there telling Georgia how they can write their laws; through your money, you’re going to tell a free state in America what they can do? God’s not gonna sit back, folks. Jehovah-jireh is on the move. He’s coming. He’s coming with fire. He’s coming as a lion.
God is coming to save America, but it’s not gonna be fun. All of you evangelical leaders who voted for Joe Biden, and God help you, turned around and told other Christians to vote for Joe Biden, you think you’re going to get off the hook scot-free? You think you’re gonna get a little slap on the wrist? There’s a mighty God coming and saying, ‘How could you endorse abortion like that? How can you destroy a marriage?'
He previously declared that Donald Trump must have won in 2020 and the election must have been stolen by 'massive voter fraud, because he can't believe Americans don't agree with him! With typical white Christian fundamentalist arrogance, he simply assumes that America must be exactly to his liking and requirements, or there is something wrong and someone evil must be conspiring against him and his fellow priviledged white Christian fundamentalists. It is inconceivable that people might have other opinions and even disagree with him, without being mad.
You have one of two choices when you look at Biden, and the best answer is that it’s fraud that put him in there,” Murillo said. “Because the other one is that America is really stupid, and I don’t really want to face the fact that America is stupid. He also told them that believing the election was stolen from Trump was a test of their loyalty to God. Besides, all those fundamentalist self-proclaimed 'prophets' couldn't all have been wrong! Obviously hypersensitive to the charge that Trump's voter fraud charge was nothing more than a conspiracy theory, he tried to turn that round with:
I’m gonna say this! That Joe Biden is president is the conspiracy theory. Not the Dominion voting, not all of the corruption that we’re uncovering. The conspiracy theory, the tinfoil cone hat theory is that Joe Biden is the legitimate president of the United States. Get that. Now, here’s what you are doing. The Bible says not to fear their conspiracy theories but to fear the Lord and then he will be a sanctuary. … If you are filled with the Holy Spirit and give into fear, God is going to judge you. God is going to correct you for that.In other words, if you don't agree with me, my big, powerful imaginary invisible friend is gonna come and get you! With his frankly psychotic prophesies of God rolling his sleeves up and getting ready to come and destroy Democrats, and his evident inability to comprehend why anyone would disagree with him unless thy were the ones who are insane, perhaps Murillo and his fellow fruitloops needs to pay heed to the ancient sasying:
If you’re giving in and you’re one of those that voted for Biden, if you’re one of those that is kind of using cheap grace as an excuse to accept this cultural change and say, ‘Well, let’s be loving,’ God is going to judge you. Right now, this is a test. Ladies and gentlemen, this is a test. It’s a test of whether you are going to stand on the word or go by what you see.
It would make no sense [for President Donald Trump to lose when various prophecies supposedly foreshadowed his re-election, so Christians have] got to be loyal to God in this hour and not give in because God will surely bring correction.
Those whom the gods wish to destroy they first make mad.Given the recent Gallup Poll finding that the desertion of the established churches in America is accelerating, with 'Nones' now in the majority, it looks increasingly like the current insanity afflicting the extremist leadership of American primitive Christian fundamentalism is doing a fine job of destroying Talibangelism without any help from gods, real or imaginary.
Attrib: Sophocles (not Euripides)
After four years of being told what to think by their cult leader and imagining that they are running America, it must be difficult for these bewildered Trumpanzee cultists to have to think for themselves again and accept that it's the American people, not them, who decides who their government will be run by.
Have people always been this stupid and gullible? And what does this say, if any, about reverse evolution?
